Many people ask why most bottles are brown now. One reason is that light can damage the reagents. The degrading light is high-energy light, mainly near ultraviolet light. First, the appearance quality of brown bottles is divided into material color, smoothness, and transparency; the first factor is the color of the brown bottle, which is classified into three grades according to regional standards: refined white material, high-grade white material, and ordinary white material.
The same color depends on the smoothness and transparency of the brown bottle. A good bottle should have no impurities, bubbles, cold spots, stickiness, wrinkles, or oil gray, etc. Additionally, pay attention to the "double seam line" on the bottle body. Some brown bottle manufacturers do not have strict quality requirements, often resulting in large seams and double seams; finally, directly observe the bottle body, the transparency and clarity of large brown bottles are better, while small glass bottles do not have particularly obvious wave lines.
Secondly, the internal quality of brown bottles: there are many subdivisions, such as the strength of the brown bottle, the temperature difference during quenching heating, the verticality of the bottle body, the thickness of the bottle body, no deformation, crooked neck, straight and smooth bottle mouth, no cold particles or burst mouths, no broken filaments, and no diameter lumps at the bottle mouth.
Common problems with brown bottles include: crooked necks on small bottles, wobbling of small flat bottles, and swelling of large bottles. The result of a curved neck on a medicine bottle affects its appearance and cannot be filled or sealed by machine; the reasons include mold factors, fast production machines, and mismatched bottle clamps.
Wobbling of small flat brown bottles is often caused by ineffective anti-slip lines at the bottom of the mold, misalignment of blind heads, and excessive machine speed. The result of filament expansion in large bottles is that the filament becomes thicker and cannot be sealed, which is caused by a large mold, poor heat dissipation, or shallow pump heads.
Among them, brown bottles are the main form of packaging for essential oils, accounting for a major share of essential oil packaging. The reasons are as follows.
1. Traditional usage habits. Brown bottle packaging has a long history. People have formed a habit of associating essential oils with brown bottles.
2. Brown bottles are dark, light-proof, and help protect essential oils.
3. They look good and have a great texture.
